Beyond its superb atmosphere, the food itself is of a high standard that will surely impress. Headed by qualified, trained chefs, the kitchen certainly does a stellar job at curating amazing meals including traditional Aussie pub fare and innovative dishes too.

With local favourites that include wild caught local barramundi served with salad and fries, spaghetti carbonara, prawn linguine, mouth watering pizzas, grass fed beef burgers, to name a few, you’ll find it hard to resist picking more than just one thing. Explore the intriguing dessert menu, with unique creations like banoffee pizzas and Nutella and strawberry pizzas.

Zest Coffee in the Weipa Heritage Shopping Centre

If you’re looking for something light for breakfast or brunch, the Zest Coffee cafe inside the Weipa Heritage Shopping Centre is the place to be.

With great coffee that will help kickstart your day, the meals are also yum with patrons saying the portions are generous. You’ll find breakfast favourites such as the Benedict special featuring bacon, eggs, and some homemade hollandaise sauce.

Barramunchies at the Weipa Caravan Park and Camp Grounds

If you’re looking for a local eatery that has some good reviews too, check out the Barramunchies at the Weipa Caravan Park. You don’t have to stay at the camping grounds or caravan park to dine here, so give it a shot.

Do note, however, that as it’s located right in the camping grounds, the eatery always tends to be busy packed with residents. But, if you do muster the courage to brave the crowd, have a taste of their cheeseburgers and seafood such as their barramundi, squid, and calamari.

The eatery looks out over the bay, promising beautiful views of sunsets during evenings, which makes it a great opportunity to enjoy some fish and chips with a view.

Bowls Club Restaurant at the Weipa Bowls Club

A pub with pokies and sports on the screen, the local Weipa Bowls Club serves typical Aussie pub fare such as pizza, chicken parmigiana, steaks, garlic bread, and an interesting apple crumble pizza.

Beers are affordable, with friendly customer service, and the place is filled with frequent local faces making it a great place to get familiar with the people in Weipa.
